Be At Pains born in 1999 from the ashes of a crossover band: Strain.

Max, guitarist and singer, started playing with drummer Luke when this last
one joined the band that was looking for a drummer.
Luke was influenced by different genres, such as industrial and
black metal (!!). That's why he brought the whole band to play a more extreme
and particular metal.

First troubles began when the bassist got fired;
not long time had passed, that Max and Luke started looking for
a new singer too, with a more "hardcore" and shouted voice...
Then they met Luca, the actual bassist of Be At Pains, who came from a funky
school, but for sure with a great bent towards metal stuff.

In the meantime also the second guitarist left the band .

So, all at once, Strain fell in very bad conditions, without a singer, without
a guitarist and with a brand new bassist who had to learn all the songs.
Then Luke, annoyed by the situation, wanted to leave, but Max was able to
keep the band united.

Max and drummer Luke started establishing a better "musical feeling"
and Luca was well blend with the group. They began playing a new kind
of metal, leaving old songs and old riffs, with the new singer Kevin that finally
joined the band; after one year away from the metal scene cause of the
military service, and after the break up of his industrial project
"Genetical Level", he started singing again with his
powerful hardcore voice.

The band was finally done and Be At Pains started their run.
